It gives us great pleasure to present the 2026 Sale Bulls.
We are excited to offer 34 rising two-year-old Polled Hereford bulls at our annual on-farm sale. This year’s line-up reflects our continued focus on breeding sound, functional Hereford cattle.
We’re encouraged by the current outlook for sheep and beef, and it’s great to see a renewed confidence across the sector. While challenges like rising costs and market uncertainty remain, we believe you won’t be disappointed by investing in good genetics to help you get the best performance from your herd in any conditions.
We continue to utilise proven home-bred bloodlines alongside carefully selected new genetics to ensure balance, consistency, and genetic progress across the herd. Last year we purchased an industry leading bull, Matariki Qualifier Q361, in conjunction with Mokairau.
We also obtained semen from an Australian sire, Yavenvale Unbelievable U480. He’s a great outcross with a strong base of NZ pedigrees and is expected to lift both maternal strength and carcase performance in our herd. We are excited to see their progeny drop in the spring.
In terms of this year’s sale line up, we have our first run of sale bulls by Limehills Stardom 190158, Limehills Stardom 190168 and Okawa Zulu 210140. We have also retained a really well-balanced Stardom 190158 son which ticks a lot of boxes for our breeding programme.
